I'am noob with the whole pvp,battlegrounds,honour system and arena teams,i started reading the guides in the wow site.they were very helpful,i learned many things but i got very confused with the variety of pvp armour sets and especially the mage pvp armour sets.

ok i understand that the pve sets are tier1,tier2,tier3 etc which you get them from pve raids,dungeons etc,reputation with factions etc.ok with that.

but i have some questions about the pvp gear sets and i would like to help me clear the things,before i started spending my honor points to level up my gear.so:

1.what is the main difference between the pvp sets and the pve sets.is it only the resilience or other factors too?

2.what are the differences between the sets u get from battlegrounds and the sets u get from arena matches? are the arena sets more powerful?
can i use them to battlegrounds and vice versa can i use the pvp sets i get from bgs to the arena?

3.from what i understand from honor points u can buy a veteran set,a vindicator set or a gladiator set which it used to be called pvp-70 but now serves as a set season 1 for arenas.i am correct with that?

4.now the most important question.
as a mage,who plays mainly battlegrounds and in the future is going to play only 5v5 arena matches ( i like large-scale matches),what is the best MAGE armour set i should aim to start buying first?
is it gladiator,veteran,vindicator or something else?

please a little help,because i have earned already about 2000hp,my gear is still what i have get from the leveling quests,and i need to now where to start spending my points for the best gear as possible.
