Mana Ruby (and all the other Mana Stones)
(The Whipper Root Tuber, Night Dragon, Demonic Runes, Dark Runes and Crystal Restore also fall into this category, which is why I have excluded them from this guide; they are not preferable compared to the alternatives. I could also mention the Crystal Basilisks Spine with its +10frost and shadowres for 1min).

CONCERNING STACKING:
Buffs from food does NOT stack. You would have to choose whether you want f.ex. Nightfin Soup or Chimaerok Chops, and you cannot eat Tender Wolf Steak and Monster Omelet to get a double buff-bonus.

I could also note that buffs from consumables does not stack with the buffs you receive from players (f.ex: if you have arcane intellect and use Elixir of the Sages (+18spir and int), you will only receive the +18spir.).

Every mage will benefit from the Arcane Elixir, but you should rather go for the Greater Arcane Elixir (elixirs does not stack with their greater counterparts, but get overwritten by them). Firemages should add the Firepower or Greater Firepower, and the frostmages should go for the Frost Power. These are not that expensive and everyone should be able to overcome the cost. The Flask of Supreme Power, however, is a lot more expensive and might not be that essential (at least not compared to the Flask of the Titans for tanks or the Flask of Distilled Wisdom for healers). You might want to try the Supreme Power just to yank out the maximum of your potential, though.

For the Presence of Sight, bring a Punctured Voodoo Doll (mage-version) and a Primal Hakkari Idol (dropping from Bloodlord Mandokir and Jin’do the Hexxer in Zul’Gurub) to Zanza the Restless inside Zul’Gurub. The Signet of Mojo requires Exalted reputation with the Zandalarian troll-tribe, and that you turn in 15 Zandalar Hero Tokens at Joyamba Island in northwestern Stranglethorn Vale. Do not save your money or nexus-crystals; go get the enchants! They will help a lot, and are well worth it. The quest-enchantments are a little more hassle to get, but if you can then go for those as well. Your main weapon should always be enchanted with Spell Power – after all, dps is what mages are all about.
