Here follows a small guide, tailored for mages in the context of endgame raiding. If you wish to raid, it will not suffice to go without preparation. This includes using consumables, enchants and other buffs. Some are provided by raidmembers – typically class-buffs. But some you have to spend time and resources to gather yourself.
This includes Alchemy, Enchanting, Cooking, First Aid and quest-buffs and even buffs awarded for killing bosses.
I have chosen to divide the guide into four parts; damage, mana, survivability and raidbuffs etc. This makes it easier to find your way, as opposed to the more general and exhaustive system in the form of a work of referance.
If you wish to read more about the respective consumables and buffs in this guide, or if you wish to see a complete list of consumables etc. meant for all classes, then follow this link to my .
As of patch v.1.11, the cooldown system has been revised. It is now broken down to three main categories (but things like First Aid still work on a cooldown on its own, outside those three categories). The categories are Potion consumables (POC), Non-aggressive consumables (NAC) and Aggressive consumables (ARC). Only the two first categories are relevant to this guide as none of the last category is mentioned here.
